Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes for RF spectrum-centric solutions.
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, materials, and fabrication processes.
• Design and implement engineering solutions to increase quality, improve throughput, and reduce costs.
• Develop automation for assembly or testing phases and apply lean manufacturing techniques to manual lines.
• Document manufacturing methods to ensure standardized production.
• Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow to design efficient equipment layouts.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen activities and Lean Six Sigma implementation.
• Partner with design engineering to transition new products into production using Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) concepts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5 years of related experience, or 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of LEAN principles and ability to facilitate techniques such as Value Stream mapping and A3 facilitation.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Proven experience with ERP systems, including managing BOMs, routings, and costing.
• Strong industrial engineering skills, including time and motion studies, ergonomics, cycle time, and takt time.
• Experience with complex process methodologies in disciplines such as machining, castings, or injection molding.
• High degree of interpersonal and communication skills.
