About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new product launches, including design transfer and production ramp-up
  • Collaborate with R&D to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
  • Develop, validate, and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment
  • Manage cross-functional projects, including detailed planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize throughput, yield, and labor efficiency
  • Provide daily engineering support to production and develop standard work instructions
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and manage capital projects (CAPEX)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering or New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Strong project management skills including planning, execution, and risk management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint; Project preferred)
  • Knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks)
  • Ability to travel to manufacturing sites within the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading NPI or product industrialization projects
  • Familiarity with stage-gate or product development lifecycle processes
  • Lean manufacturing experience (5S, TPM, Kaizen, VSM)
  • Knowledge of process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), PFMEA, and statistical analysis
  • Experience with CAPEX project management
