About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the mapping and layouts of plant, office, and production equipment to maximize facility utilization and production efficiency
  • Apply Lean principles to optimize work/process flow, reduce setup times, and facilitate quick changeovers
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new equipment and tools to enhance manufacturing capabilities
  • Conduct safety audits to identify potential accident and health hazards within work areas
  • Document standard work by creating work instructions, recording cycle times, and performing value stream mapping

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a BA in Engineering or a related field
  • At least one previous intern rotation in a manufacturing environment or similar technical training
  • Practical knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing concepts
  • Proficiency with MS Office and relevant engineering software
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic hardware
  • High proficiency in reading drawings, sketches, and interpreting design ideas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to develop and implement improvement ideas
  • Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented mindset
  • Basic understanding of reciprocating compressors and their function within the oil & gas industry
