Manufacturing Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and resolve manufacturing discrepancies and non-conformances
• Lead problem containment and root cause/corrective action investigations
• Develop and maintain product manuals and lessons-learned documentation
• Develop production procedures and processes for repeatable manufacturing
• Develop solutions for (electro)mechanical assemblies and test fixtures
• Contribute to design reviews as an expert in design for manufacture and test
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma tools
• Execute capital equipment, machine, and layout upgrades

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Manufacturing, Production, or Process Engineer
• Hands-on technical experience debugging complex systems in a manufacturing environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP/PLM Systems (Siemens Team Center, Infor LN)
• Experience with environmental and production acceptance testing (vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum)
• Understanding of instrumentation, interfaces, and sensors
• Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, and Pareto analysis
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, value stream mapping, and capacity modeling
• Knowledge of SPC and statistical methods
