Manufacturing Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, and tool/fixture designs
• Support daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and the incorporation of engineering changes
• Perform root cause and corrective action analysis for non-conforming material dispositioning
• Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma principles to improve cycle time, reduce costs, and minimize ergonomic risks
• Provide real-time technical support to in-house manufacturers, fabricators, and the supply base
• Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence of manufacturing issues

Requirements

• Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering or manufacturing experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques
• Proficiency in technical drawing interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude across multiple disciplines
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, Word)
• Innovative mindset focused on technological advancement and continuous improvement
