Responsibilities
- Design and update manufacturing floor layouts to optimize material flow and space utilization
- Analyze production data and perform time studies to identify and resolve bottlenecks
- Identify opportunities for improvements in First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE)
- Participate in Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) reviews
- Develop and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions
- Identify, design, and procure manufacturing aids, jigs, and fixtures
- Resolve manufacturing issues in real-time and lead root cause analysis for defects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- 3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
- Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or SketchUp
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping)
- Knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly processes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for 8 hours or more daily
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Plant Simulation analysis
- Green Belt or Black Belt Six Sigma certification
- Experience using ERP/MRP software to manage BOMs and work orders
