Manufacturing Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Support the technical performance of depot and production programs by developing manufacturing documentation, processes, and work instructions
• Conduct technical and manufacturing data verifications, hardware verification, and safety/ergonomic assessments
• Assist in developing work cell layouts to optimize product flow and factory floor space utilization
• Plan, develop, manage, and document manufacturing tooling and fixtures
• Employ Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve production efficiency
• Collaborate with design, process engineering, and program management to meet site targets

Requirements

• STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of related military and industry standards and specifications
• Experience with root cause and corrective action analysis for nonconforming material
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of specific Manufacturing Engineering experience
• Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools
• Experience with PTC Windchill Product Data
• Experience with various automation systems
• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude across multiple disciplines
• Qualified Collins CORE Specialist or equivalent
