About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the technical performance of depot and production programs by developing manufacturing documentation, processes, and work instructions
- Conduct technical and manufacturing data verifications, hardware verification, and safety/ergonomic assessments
- Assist in developing work cell layouts to optimize product flow and factory floor space utilization
- Plan, develop, manage, and document manufacturing tooling and fixtures
- Employ Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve production efficiency
- Collaborate with design, process engineering, and program management to meet site targets
Requirements
- STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of related military and industry standards and specifications
- Experience with root cause and corrective action analysis for nonconforming material
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of specific Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools
- Experience with PTC Windchill Product Data
- Experience with various automation systems
- Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude across multiple disciplines
- Qualified Collins CORE Specialist or equivalent
