About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the production of current and future Rocket Lab vehicles
- Develop and optimize production and test operations using Lean Six Sigma
- Create FMEAs and action plans to mitigate process risk
- Design faultless processes and create RFQs for equipment and tooling
- Implement process automation and provide hands-on technical support
- Lead root cause analysis of complex problems using PPS processes
- Create, review, and approve technical documentation for production
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for PLM and ERP systems (Team Center, Infor LN)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 3+ years of experience as a Manufacturing, Production, or Process Engineer
- Hands-on experience debugging complex electro-mechanical systems
- Experience with major CapEx project delivery
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens Team Center or Infor LN
- Knowledge of production quality metrics
- Experience transitioning products from prototype to production
- IQ/PQ process-driven project completion
- Programming experience with industrial PLCs
