Manufacturing Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality across fabrication and assembly operations
• Support and drive new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and design for manufacturability (DFM) efforts
• Develop and maintain work instructions, routings, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
• Lead root cause analysis efforts using structured methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or 8D
• Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and labor utilization analysis to improve throughput
• Support equipment selection, tooling design, and production line or cell layout optimization
• Develop and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, and process documentation
• Partner with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to improve process capability and reliability
• Participate in Lean initiatives including Kaizen events and 5S activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment
• Experience with DFM, PFMEA, time studies, and root cause analysis methodologies
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication and assembly
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC, air filtration, or industrial manufacturing environments
• Exposure to automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality systems
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
• Experience supporting capital projects or equipment implementation
