About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to enhance productivity and product quality
- Manage projects involving new production equipment, process improvements, and cost reductions
- Provide technical mentorship and work direction to engineers and technicians
- Conduct Process FMEAs and Process Validations, including driving validation strategies
- Improve product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput using Lean manufacturing concepts
- Coordinate the design, procurement, build, and debug of tooling and test equipment
- Collaborate with Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and environmental requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related technical engineering field
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Demonstrated leadership capability in team settings
- Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed and fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical device industry experience
- Six Sigma certification
- International manufacturing experience
- Experience working within a broad enterprise or cross-division business unit model
