About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to enhance productivity and product quality
  • Manage projects involving new production equipment, process improvements, and cost reductions
  • Provide technical mentorship and work direction to engineers and technicians
  • Conduct Process FMEAs and Process Validations, including driving validation strategies
  • Improve product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput using Lean manufacturing concepts
  • Coordinate the design, procurement, build, and debug of tooling and test equipment
  • Collaborate with Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and environmental requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related technical engineering field
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in team settings
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical device industry experience
  • Six Sigma certification
  • International manufacturing experience
  • Experience working within a broad enterprise or cross-division business unit model
