About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage manufacturing equipment, including process development, specification, acquisition, and implementation
- Identify root causes of manufacturing failures using structured problem-solving and implement permanent fixes
- Troubleshoot equipment by evaluating machine logic, electromechanical systems, and process controls
- Execute design of experiments (DOE), validation, and data analysis for continuous improvement initiatives
- Create and revise technical documentation including SOPs, validation protocols, risk assessments, and safety instructions
- Lead engineering project teams and mentor junior engineers and maintenance technicians
- Resolve Quality Incidents and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of three years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with various material testing and measuring methods
- Strong knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts (e.g., ANSI/AQL, probability)
- Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a GMP, FDA, ISO, or USDA regulated environment
- Familiarity with cGMP and ISO 13485 regulations and practices
- Experience with statistical analysis software such as Minitab
