Manufacturing Engineer I, IT System Integration

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D Engineering teams to verify software and firmware application packaging, validation procedures, and upgrades
• Support new product transfer of compute systems and software, including change management and implementation
• Create detailed technical documentation for software and OS build/deployment procedures for production test fixtures and DNA sequencing systems
• Execute program coding using Ansible, Bash, and PowerShell
• Perform troubleshooting of OS, driver, firmware, and hardware issues
• Prepare, build, configure, and deploy servers, power, controls, and network hardware based on product specifications
• Install and configure various OS flavors (Linux, Windows) and applications on deployed servers
• Monitor servers for failures and address issues as they arise

Requirements

• BS in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field
• 1+ years of relevant experience in a technical field
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash and/or Python
• Experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows administration
• Experience with server hardware troubleshooting and server booting (POST, BIOS, PXE, Kickstart, GRUB/LILO, and RAID)
• Knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and L2/L3 technologies
• Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and lift/move/carry up to 45 lbs
