Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes to maintain product functionality and cost efficiency
• Oversee the design, purchase, and installation of new manufacturing equipment
• Assess the manufacturability of new product designs and propose improved processes
• Ensure all manufacturing equipment and tools are maintained and functioning optimally
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure integrated design outputs and processes
• Monitor and improve scrap rates and develop strategies to reduce waste
• Conduct detailed studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow
• Apply lean manufacturing and just-in-time inventory management principles
• Evaluate production lines to improve efficiency, reduce reject rates, and minimize downtime
• Work with safety and quality control teams to meet health, safety, and quality standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred)
• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar role
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and production equipment
• Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
