Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production equipment and implement permanent corrective solutions in a manufacturing environment
• Support continuous improvement projects and approve process documentation
• Diagnose, analyze, and document emergent tooling issues
• Design, analyze, and implement product or machinery designs for optimal manufacturing processes
• Direct the design and improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned areas
• Lead cross-functional teams and provide direction to small groups of technical employees
• Monitor expenditures for processes and equipment
• Note: This is a 3rd shift position (11p-7a) located onsite in Toledo, Ohio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent experience
• High level of analytical ability using structured technical problem-solving methods (e.g., RedX or Design for Six Sigma)
• Proven experience troubleshooting production equipment
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects autonomously with high accountability
• Ability to work in a team environment to understand products, processes, and failure modes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with gear and aluminum machining
• Experience with assembly processes, testing, and verification systems
