About the role

Responsibilities

  • Research and implement innovative technologies and processes for gear machining and grinding
  • Provide technical direction and oversight for internal resources and external vendors
  • Support manufacturing operations and maintenance to improve overall equipment efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality, process, and equipment issues
  • Maintain up-to-date manufacturing technical documentation
  • Identify and resolve safety and ergonomics issues within the manufacturing environment
  • Facilitate training for team members and maintenance personnel, including developing training manuals
  • Participate in project planning to ensure tasks are completed within budget and time constraints

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering support role within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes
  • Prior experience with CNC machining and/or programming
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Ability to work off-shifts, weekends, and overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of high-volume precision grinding and machining
  • Experience with hypoid bevel gear manufacturing
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
