About the role
Responsibilities
- Research and implement innovative technologies and processes for gear machining and grinding
- Provide technical direction and oversight for internal resources and external vendors
- Support manufacturing operations and maintenance to improve overall equipment efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality, process, and equipment issues
- Maintain up-to-date manufacturing technical documentation
- Identify and resolve safety and ergonomics issues within the manufacturing environment
- Facilitate training for team members and maintenance personnel, including developing training manuals
- Participate in project planning to ensure tasks are completed within budget and time constraints
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering support role within a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes
- Prior experience with CNC machining and/or programming
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Ability to work off-shifts, weekends, and overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of high-volume precision grinding and machining
- Experience with hypoid bevel gear manufacturing
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
