fab2 was founded by Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller. We design all the hardware and software needed to make chips and we make the fabs, tools, and components ourselves.

Responsibilities

• CNC programming on 5-axis Haas UMC-500SS / UMC-750SS and DS-30Y mill-turn lathes
• Trumpf TruLaser 1030 + TruBend 5085 SX programming via TruTops Boost
• Nest optimization, bend sequencing, and ACB Laser calibration
• Developing fixturing strategy including vises, soft jaws, and pallet-pool tombstones
• Tool selection, tool-life tracking, and coolant/chip handling specs
• Creating process documentation for operator turnover

Requirements

• 5+ years CNC machining or sheet-metal manufacturing engineering experience
• Hands-on Haas 5-axis programming (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or HSMWorks)
• Trumpf or comparable fiber-laser and press-brake experience
• Ability to own a process from blank stock to inspected part

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience scaling a startup factory from first cube to production rate
• Proficiency with TruTops Boost
• SEMI-grade or aerospace tolerance work
• Lights-out or pallet-pool experience
