About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide engineering expertise on manufacturing sciences activities, including the design and development of new processes for reagents and collection kits.
  • Drive the design transfer process for new manufacturing capabilities and automation projects.
  • Partner with external Contract Manufacturing Operations (CMOs) to ensure product quality and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conceive, specify, and implement engineering controls and modifications to support volume growth and new product introduction.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, design specifications, and commissioning protocols, within a GMP environment.
  • Lead investigations and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes related to CAPA, audits, or complaints.
  • Execute projects focused on process efficiencies and cost savings within Operations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering with 4 years of related experience; or a Bachelor's degree in the same fields with 6 years of experience.
  • Experience with line assembly processing of materials.
  • Experience with injection molding.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturing.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% between Exact Sciences locations.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a cGMP or ISO 13485 compliant manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with equipment procurement and managing multi-site projects.
  • PMP certification.
  • 3+ years of experience using continuous improvement methodologies such as LEAN Six Sigma or PPI.
