Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, quality, and procedures using Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Poka-Yoke, and Kaizen.
• Provide plant or process flow layouts to improve productivity and throughput.
• Determine optimum manufacturing processes, raw material usage, and tooling.
• Support new product development and sustaining engineering to ensure quality manufacturability at minimum cost.
• Investigate and resolve production and quality problems using root cause analysis.
• Improve production standards through time studies and standard data development.
• Specify, justify, and oversee the installation of capital equipment.
• Collaborate with design engineering to optimize electrical designs for manufacturability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical circuits.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting and the use of test equipment.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and conduct time studies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high voltage systems.
• Proven ability to analyze production data and process metrics to drive cost reductions.
