Manufacturing Engineer - Electrical Hardware

Responsibilities

• Lead development of signal and power wiring harnesses for EV battery and charging systems
• Support manufacturing processes including wire cutting, stripping, crimping, and ultrasonic welding
• Evaluate manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability of harness designs
• Develop understanding of PCBA manufacturing stages such as SMT, reflow soldering, and AOI/SPI inspection
• Work with supplier partners to establish stable, scalable manufacturing processes and conduct audits
• Support NPI builds, pilot production, and validation activities
• Drive process capability improvements and defect reduction initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical hardware manufacturing or supplier process development
• Strong understanding of wiring harness manufacturing processes for signal and power applications
• Awareness of PCBA manufacturing processes and associated risks
• Experience working with suppliers and external manufacturing partners
• Strong troubleshooting and coordination capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in EV battery packs, BMS systems, or charger manufacturing
• Familiarity with IPC standards and crimp quality standards
• Exposure to ICT, FCT, and End-of-Line testing methodologies
• Understanding of DFMEA, PFMEA, and APQP methodologies
• Familiarity with MES and traceability systems
