About the role

Responsibilities

  • Enhance manufacturing processes and product quality by optimizing CNC grinding programs for Haas, Schneeberger-Corvus, and Drake machines.
  • Lead automation initiatives, including programming collaborative robots (cobots) for assembly and developing inspection tools using cameras and proximity sensors.
  • Create manufacturing and inspection fixtures for various assemblies to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and drive improvements in safety, defects, and rework.
  • Develop and digitize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions using Dozuki and MS Office.
  • Support equipment maintenance, OEM schedules, and new product launches to ensure manufacturability and OEE.
  • Manage the operational efficiency of automated robotic disk grinding cells.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • 5 years of experience with 2D/3D engineering design software (Solidworks or AutoCAD) and PFMEA.
  • 3 years of experience with Creo 7.0, Catia V5, Lean Manufacturing (Green Belt), and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • 2 years of experience with CAD/CAM software, Robotics/cobots, and developing Digital Standard Work.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25%.
