About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and create new process flows and work instructions, including capacity analysis and resource planning.
- Assist in the development and implementation of advanced production processes and tooling methodologies.
- Develop and execute engineering evaluation plans for new materials, processes, or improvements.
- Resolve technical process problems impacting performance, cost, or schedule.
- Implement and maintain process FMEA to mitigate risk of process failures.
- Review and coordinate methods to improve manufacturing processes using Lean principles.
- Maintain manufacturing best practice databases and workmanship standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or a related Engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a production environment with direct ownership of processes.
- Hands-on experience developing manufacturing processes, work instructions, or tooling.
- Practical experience supporting production floor activities and troubleshooting issues.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing methods such as machining, composites, forming, joining, or assembly.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop solutions.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Must be a "U.S. person" as defined by EAR/ITAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FMEA, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement programs.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated high-reliability manufacturing environments.
