About the role

Responsibilities

  • Generate detailed operation sheets and sketches to support all phases of manufacturing.
  • Design necessary tooling and fixtures to meet manufacturing and quality requirements.
  • Support CNC programming methods and machine shop production.
  • Maintain all applicable manufacturing project documentation.
  • Analyze manufacturing equipment or tooling problems to implement efficient, economic solutions.
  • Interact with in-house manufacturing personnel and external vendors for tool and fixture fabrication.

Requirements

  • US citizenship is required.
  • Associate Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Technology, or a related field (or commensurate experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, including methods, tool/fixture design, and cost analysis.
  • Proficiency with Mastercam CAD/CAM software (version 8.xx or greater).
  • Strong ability to generate CAD drawings and design tool/fixturing requirements.
  • Solid understanding of machine shop practices, raw materials, and machinability (feeds and speeds).
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and make independent technical decisions.
