About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in updating manufacturing floor layouts to improve material flow and ensure safe operator movements
  • Perform time studies and analyze production data to identify bottlenecks
  • Support the tracking of key performance indicators including First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE)
  • Support Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) reviews by documenting feedback from the factory floor
  • Develop and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions
  • Assist in the identification and design of manufacturing aids, jigs, and fixtures
  • Help resolve real-time manufacturing issues and participate in root cause analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or electromechanical environment
  • Basic proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or SketchUp
  • Foundational knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles like 5S or Kaizen
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication, welding, or mechanical assembly processes
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for 8 hours or more daily

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Plant Simulation software or modeling tools
  • EIT certification or foundational Six Sigma Green Belt training
  • Experience or coursework related to ERP/MRP software for managing BOMs
