About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and SOPs
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure the manufacturability of new products
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance performance
- Lead the design and procurement of tools, fixtures, and equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and implement corrective actions
- Conduct time and motion studies to determine optimal production methods
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work the weekend first shift (Friday through Sunday, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
- Experience with failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
