Manufacturing Engineer - CNC process

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize CNC machining processes for pumps, including program optimization for horizontal machining centers, mill-turn, and CNC cylindrical grinders
• Design fixtures for parts machining and develop process routing for new and transferred products
• Work with the global engineering team to review and update product drawings, technical specifications, BOM, and quality control methods
• Monitor production issues and perform rapid troubleshooting to resolve process-related problems
• Validate CNC programs, fixtures, and tooling by operating machinery for the first production runs of new parts
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train operators on manufacturing processes and specific operating details
• Optimize processes to improve safety, productivity, and cost-efficiency through digitalization and lean methodologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant engineering field
• At least 5 years of experience in machining
• Proven experience in manufacturing pumps, compressors, engines, or motors
• Strong knowledge of 5S, safety protocols, and lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to interpret complex product drawings, structures, and technical requirements in English
• Strong troubleshooting skills for daily production challenges
• Proficiency in communicating effectively in both Chinese and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in multi-departmental quality improvement projects
• Programming skills in languages such as Java or Python
• Experience with PLC programming or database programming
