About the role
Responsibilities
- Optimize cycle time, throughput, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Perform line balancing, time studies, and capacity analysis
- Develop preventive maintenance strategies and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues
- Implement process controls including SPC, poka-yoke, and error-proofing
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Support PFMEA, control plans, and validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and scrap
- Develop process documentation, work instructions, and training materials
- Monitor KPIs such as yield, uptime, cycle time, and scrap rates
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or a related Engineering field
- 7+ years of manufacturing experience in high-speed automated assembly (e.g., SMT, medical devices, electronics, or automotive)
- Hands-on experience with automation systems, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Experience with PFMEA, control plans, and validation methods
- Proficiency in CAD tools and the ability to read schematics and drawings
- Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems such as gear boxes and PLCs
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Experience in a clean room manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with servo motion control and sensors
