About the role

Responsibilities

  • Optimize cycle time, throughput, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Perform line balancing, time studies, and capacity analysis
  • Develop preventive maintenance strategies and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues
  • Implement process controls including SPC, poka-yoke, and error-proofing
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Support PFMEA, control plans, and validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and scrap
  • Develop process documentation, work instructions, and training materials
  • Monitor KPIs such as yield, uptime, cycle time, and scrap rates
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Production teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or a related Engineering field
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience in high-speed automated assembly (e.g., SMT, medical devices, electronics, or automotive)
  • Hands-on experience with automation systems, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
  • Experience with PFMEA, control plans, and validation methods
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and the ability to read schematics and drawings
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems such as gear boxes and PLCs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience in a clean room manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with servo motion control and sensors
