Manufacturing Digital Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct data analysis to provide actionable insights, identify trends, and measure performance using statistical and mathematical models.
• Organize and manipulate large, complex datasets for data exploration, mining, and quality purposes.
• Integrate and tailor IoT devices to capture data from manual production processes and facilitate smart automation.
• Create visualizations to support decision-makers and users based on acquired production data.
• Define best practices for the integration of current and future IT applications and hardware.
• Support the MTM/MTS/LTS network by participating in roadmap execution and driving Industry 4.0 principles.
• Build solutions for Proof of Concepts (PoC) to support fast progress and further implementation.

Requirements

• University Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Software development skills within the IT/OT domain, including Python, Kubernetes, GitHub, AI, ML, and Grafana.
• Hardware knowledge involving sensors, protocols, and cameras.
• Experience integrating hardware and data into an IT landscape (data ingestion and system integration).
• Knowledge of the automotive industry and experience in strategy creation.
• Familiarity with Volvo IS/IT applications, automation, PLC, and equipment connectivity.
