Manufacturing Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary manufacturing development engineering owner for critical factory modules, subsystems, and processes
• Develop deep technical understanding of assigned systems, including architecture, controls, and failure modes
• Own manufacturing readiness from development through commissioning, validation, and production handoff
• Lead development of work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation
• Lead complex troubleshooting, RCCA, and corrective action implementation to improve machine reliability
• Partner with design, automation, software, and supply chain teams to improve manufacturability
• Drive DFM, DFA, tolerance, and cycle time improvements
• Support design changes through PLM and configuration management
• Mentor engineers and technicians to raise technical rigor and documentation quality

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information subject to U.S. export controls
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
• 5+ years of experience for Senior level or 7+ years for Staff level
• Demonstrated ownership of complex technical areas
• Strong experience in technical troubleshooting, RCCA, and manufacturing documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with capital equipment or low-volume production
• Experience with PLM, MES, configuration management, and change control
• Experience with tooling, fixtures, calibration tools, or test equipment
