Manufacturing Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design products and create manufacturing drawings for castings and machining to ensure high-quality production.
• Manage drawing release and control, including the creation of General Arrangement (GA), assembly, and detailed technical drawings.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop manufacturing and process drawings.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing feasibility studies.
• Execute Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Management of Change (MOC) for effective change management.
• Optimize layouts and workflows to improve space utilization and reduce movement, handling, and transportation time.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through efficient design and automation without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PD&E, Sales, and Application departments.

Requirements

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or Automotive Engineering.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Design, or Development.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD and CREO.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) concepts.
• Experience in Industrial Engineering, including layout design and workflow optimization.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and advanced manufacturing techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder management.
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
