About the role
Responsibilities
- Support process control systems infrastructure, including software, hardware, and advanced control applications for refineries and chemical plants.
- Provide technical input for the design of computing infrastructure such as servers, operating systems, and networks.
- Deploy and maintain cybersecurity measures and risk mitigations for industrial control systems (ICS) environments.
- Act as a primary interface for remote engineering support to meet manufacturing site priorities and ensure reliable operations.
- Collaborate with Application Engineers and central engineering teams to ensure infrastructure operates at an optimum level.
- Participate in after-hours support rotations for emergency systems support and critical incident response.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- Familiarity with IT technologies including virtualization, networking, Windows servers, and operating systems.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and domain controllers.
- Proficiency or familiarity with automation scripting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) within a manufacturing domain.
- Understanding of operational aspects such as high availability, monitoring, security, and robustness.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-cultural global team across different time zones.
