Manufacturing Battery Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble battery packs for Midnight aircraft using manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment
• Support equipment bring-up and process validation in collaboration with engineering teams
• Troubleshoot equipment, processes, and battery pack issues
• Build basic lab fixtures and tools
• Perform routine equipment maintenance
• Conduct inspections and measurements using metrology tools like calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• 1+ years of battery experience
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electronic assemblies using technical documentation
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical documentation
• Experience with measurement and inspection tools (caliper, micrometer, height gage, CMM)
• Familiarity with 5S and maintenance safety protocols (LOTO, Arc Flash)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and testing high voltage battery modules or packs
• Experience with battery end of line testing and battery cyclers
• Laser Welding experience
• Experience programming and troubleshooting industrial automation (PLC, robots, gantries)
