About the role
Responsibilities
- Streamline manufacturing processes while maintaining product quality and adhering to FDA regulations and cGMP guidelines
- Act as a subject matter expert in developing automated systems for production and packaging environments
- Identify improvements and collaborate with internal engineering teams and external firms to design and implement automated equipment upgrades
- Administrate user access and system backups on all industrial equipment
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation equipment and processes
- Support the maintenance team with troubleshooting and problem-solving for existing equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in automation, process control, electrical, or mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial controls and automation
- Proficiency in PLC (Allen Bradley/Rockwell) and HMI (PanelView, Wonderware InTouch, IFix) programming
- Ability to read, understand, and develop P&ID, engineering layouts, and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 11, cGMP guidelines, and GAMP5
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BAS/BMS Systems (Siemens Insight/Desigo)
- Experience in data acquisition, historian solutions, virtualization, or AutoCAD
