Manufacturing Automation Engineer - SCADA

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop technical projects focused on SCADA, MES, IoT, data collection, and analytics.
• Design SCADA systems including databases, data handling, reporting, and scripting (VB, Python, etc.).
• Interface with clients to define project scope, manage timelines, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Execute onsite startup and commissioning of designed and implemented systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering disciplines on large-scale projects, such as greenfield manufacturing plant designs.
• Manage multiple scopes of work simultaneously across various project phases.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in System Integration, SCADA, or MES application development.
• Proven expertise with Aveva Wonderware System Platform (configuration, troubleshooting, and development).
• Proficiency in at least one additional SCADA platform: Ignition, Rockwell FactoryTalk, or GE.
• Familiarity with Rockwell PLC platforms (ControlLogix, PLC5, SLC500).
• Strong SQL skills.
• Ability to travel for project installation, startup, and client meetings.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering.
• Experience in the food and beverage or life sciences industries.
• Experience with MES software such as Sepasoft or Aveva.
• Knowledge of back-end computing infrastructure, including virtualization, networking, and databases.
• Certification in Aveva Wonderware System Platform.
