About the role

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise and support non-exempt microelectronic assemblers on the 1st shift.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance monitoring to ensure team members meet productivity and quality goals.
  • Manage equipment, fixtures, and staffing targets to maintain operational flow.
  • Communicate critical factory and program status updates to management using visual factory tools and MES.
  • Solve routine technical and operational problems to ensure safety, quality, and delivery targets are met.
  • Prepare daily reports regarding equipment status, personnel, and operational challenges for engineering and management.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and foster a diverse, respectful workplace environment.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship required (must be able to obtain a Secret Government security clearance).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong expertise in MIL-STD-883 and IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Skilled in microscope use and technical troubleshooting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Progress toward an AS or BS in Engineering or Business.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Shingo, or other Enterprise Excellence initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) tools.
