Manufacturing Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and scheduled inspections of material-handling carts to identify structural damage or safety hazards
• Perform mechanical repairs including the replacement of casters, wheels, bearings, axles, and fasteners
• Execute basic welding tasks to restore structural integrity and reinforce frames
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules to extend asset life
• Document all repair actions, parts usage, and work orders within the CMMS (L2L)
• Prioritize maintenance tasks based on production schedules and operational needs to minimize downtime
• Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and proper use of PPE

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production, manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
• Basic welding proficiency and competency with various hand and power tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using CMMS platforms (L2L preferred)
• Ability to lift and move components up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends if required
