Manufacturing Accountant

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends and variances.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly financial closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Investigate deviations between actual results and planned budgets to recommend corrective actions.
• Partner with manufacturing operations to identify cost reduction and productivity improvement opportunities.
• Support plant reporting by analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly operating results.
• Ensure accurate costing of raw materials and finished goods to reflect proper product margins.
• Administer quarterly Sarbanes Oxley assessments and assist with audits.
• Perform ad-hoc financial modeling and prepare executive reports for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost management accounting or financial analysis.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Proven track record of providing actionable financial insights and recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling) and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of analyzing Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Trial Balances.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Experience communicating complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Fluency in Korean is preferred to facilitate coordination with South Korean headquarters.
