About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers across multiple locations
- Review and disposition Supplier mechanical design submittals to validate designs based on technical requirements
- Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are satisfied
- Apply ASME Y14.5 Geometric Tolerancing principles
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- Active DOE L Clearance or DOD0
- US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software
- Experience with Model Based Design
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability
- Experience implementing Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) into designs
- Ability to review and apply engineering codes and standards (e.g. ASME, AWS)
- Experience supporting design reviews and technical interchanges with Suppliers
- Experience with machining and welding processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
