Manual Machinist/Grinder

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual grinding machines including OD/ID grinders, reciprocating surface grinders, rotary surface grinders, thread grinders, and center laps
• Perform proper wheel selection and manage associated feeds and speeds
• Execute workpiece fixture setup and machine operation
• Conduct part inspection using appropriate measurement devices
• Ensure all components meet precise finish specifications and tolerances

Requirements

• Proven experience setting up and operating manual grinding machines
• Ability to read and interpret technical part drawings
• Strong understanding of precision tolerances and finish specifications
• Proficiency with various grinding equipment (OD/ID, surface, thread, etc.)
• Ability to perform part inspections using precision measurement tools
