Managing Veterinarian

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 1–5 veterinarians
• Diagnose and treat pets while maintaining a manageable caseload
• Serve as the primary clinical authority for escalations and complex cases
• Partner with regional leadership to recruit, onboard, and retain veterinary talent
• Collaborate with operations on scheduling and coverage
• Maintain standards across surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics
• Ensure compliance with DEA, OSHA, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor key performance metrics including client satisfaction and medical quality
• Own and influence financial performance and revenue targets
• Uphold a hospitality-driven client experience

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
• Active veterinary license and DEA registration
• 5+ years of clinical experience
• Leadership or mentorship experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to ethics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to drive performance and influence team culture
