Managing Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial support to project teams on a range of private sector projects
• Advise on the financial feasibility of projects during early stages
• Assess returns from sub-contractors and manage the awarding of work packages
• Monitor and measure actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure using CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)
• Manage team workloads and performance
• Check and collate commercial information from the wider team
• Maintain commercial information and ensure compliance with all contractual requirements

Requirements

• Experience working on large 2-stage bids
• Prior experience working within a Tier 1 main contracting environment
• Proven ability to manage and mentor junior staff
• Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence dealing with client representatives and sub-contractors
• Private sector experience is preferred
