Managing Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Evaluate mainframe application landscapes to identify legacy systems and technical debt
• Define comprehensive modernization strategies for mainframe and iSeries technology stacks, including target architecture and roadmaps
• Design cloud-native architectures for legacy applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
• Select appropriate modernization techniques such as re-platforming, refactoring, or replacing applications
• Create detailed technical blueprints for large-scale migration and modernization projects
• Lead cross-functional teams through the development, testing, and deployment phases
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business requirements
• Provide technical leadership to guide teams through complex challenges and maintain quality standards
• Define strategies for organizational change management (OCM) and new operating models for modernized estates

Requirements

• 16+ years of IT experience
• 10+ years of experience leading cloud-related projects of various sizes and scopes
• 15+ years of experience in application development and modernization
• 5+ years of experience building solutions on cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale legacy application modernization deals involving mainframe or iSeries platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in cloud-native design patterns, modern programming languages, and frameworks
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field
• Experience with non-hyperscaler enterprise cloud frameworks
• Familiarity with specialized tools like MicroFocus, Raincode, or mLogica
