Managing Director, U.S. & Canada Transportation

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of approximately 20 analysts covering 150–170 rated issuers in the Transportation sector
• Provide credit leadership in the ratings process, ensuring consistent application of Fitch’s criteria and methodologies
• Articulate credit views and sector outlooks through written research, meetings, and industry roundtables
• Act as a highly visible presence for external stakeholders, including industry management, institutional investors, and media
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing work environment and champion analytical excellence

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience in capital markets and/or credit analysis
• Proven experience in people management and leading teams
• Strong professional background in corporate credit, including financial statement analysis and financial modeling
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and excel in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CFA designation
• Demonstrated ability to develop talent and mentor junior analysts
• Established network of relationships within the debt capital markets and transportation sector
