About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the product marketing strategy for the core Times app to drive downloads, registrations, and engagement
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new features and lead high-impact, multi-channel campaigns
- Craft and test positioning, messaging frameworks, and value-exchange strategies to drive conversion
- Partner with product and newsroom teams to promote multimodal journalism and personalization features
- Develop retention strategies and lifecycle campaigns (email, push, in-app) to reduce churn
- Use data to identify market opportunities, build audience segments, and monitor performance dashboards
- Act as a strategic bridge between product, newsroom, and marketing teams, presenting to C-suite leadership
- Cultivate relationships with editors and journalists to ensure marketing aligns with brand narrative
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in marketing, product, or growth
- 4+ years in a product marketing leadership role for high-growth, app-centric, freemium subscription products
- Experience with consumer mobile apps (iOS/Android) and lifecycle campaigns
- Experience in digital subscription, content, or newsletter businesses
- Experience working in media, journalism, or newsroom environments
- Proven track record of managing a product marketing team
- Experience maintaining brand integrity while hitting aggressive growth KPIs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing brand marketing programs that improve consumer perception and loyalty
- Experience developing growth marketing programs, including in-product experimentation to grow revenue
