Managing Director, Investment Banking

Responsibilities

• Originate and cultivate middle-market investment banking opportunities by developing relationships with business owners, private equity firms, and strategic acquirers
• Leverage Mariner's advisor network to identify and convert sell-side, recapitalization, and strategic advisory opportunities
• Serve as a strategic advisor to founder-led businesses regarding liquidity events, ownership transitions, and exit planning
• Lead client engagements throughout the transaction lifecycle, providing senior-level advisory services
• Direct end-to-end transaction execution, including due diligence, financial marketing, buyer outreach, and negotiations
• Partner cross-functionally with wealth advisory, legal, compliance, and operations teams
• Mentor and develop investment banking professionals to foster a high-performance culture

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field
• 12+ years of investment banking experience focusing on middle market transactions
• FINRA Series SIE, 7, 63, 79, and 82 licenses
