Managing Consultant - Strategy & Transformation, Federal Health

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, transformation, organizational effectiveness, and program modernization initiatives for federal health clients.
• Drive high-impact workstreams from vision through execution to translate priorities into actionable outcomes.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, helping leaders navigate ambiguity and organizational change.
• Develop strategic recommendations, transformation roadmaps, governance structures, and implementation approaches.
• Facilitate executive workshops, strategic planning sessions, and leadership meetings.
• Create executive-level communications, presentations, and briefing packages for senior government leaders.
• Lead and mentor teams while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Contribute to practice growth through business development, proposal support, and thought leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 6+ years of professional experience supporting federal agencies, healthcare organizations, or consulting firms.
• Demonstrated experience leading strategy, transformation, organizational change, or program management.
• Proven ability to independently lead workstreams and manage competing priorities with minimal oversight.
• Strong executive presence and experience interacting with senior government leaders.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal health agencies such as HHS, CMS, FDA, CDC, NIH, HRSA, VA, or DHA.
• Experience in federal acquisition, budget, finance, or resource management functions.
• Experience in digital modernization, operating model design, or enterprise change management.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience supporting business development, capture, or proposal development.
