About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead EHS compliance audits, assessments, and corrective action implementation across client operations
- Develop and implement EHS management systems and regulatory programs covering air, water, waste, and spill prevention
- Manage multiple projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping EHS strategy and driving long-term program success
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and identify new growth opportunities
- Mentor and develop junior staff, delegating work effectively to support team performance
- Collaborate with ERM’s global network to share best practices and deliver innovative solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in EHS compliance, management systems, or sustainability programs
- Strong technical knowledge in safety or environmental areas (e.g., air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste)
- Proven experience managing projects, budgets, and timelines
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, safety, business, or a related field
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience, including a consulting background
- Advanced degree (e.g., MS, MPH)
- Professional certifications such as CSP, PE, or CHMM
- Proven success in business development and proposal writing
