Manager/Senior Manager, Finance, Fixed Asset Accounting

Responsibilities

• Own the fixed asset accounting function, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers, impairments, and reconciliations
• Manage the monthly fixed asset close process and prepare supporting journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support accounting for laboratory equipment, capital leases, leasehold improvements, and construction-in-progress projects
• Partner with Procurement, Facilities, and Lab Operations to ensure accurate asset data and inventory control
• Support operating and finance leases under ASC 842
• Prepare audit schedules and maintain audit-ready documentation for internal and external audits
• Drive improvements in fixed asset accounting processes, automation, and ERP optimization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting and/or industry experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically fixed asset and lease accounting
• Experience supporting fixed asset accounting in a capital-intensive environment
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
• Experience supporting laboratory, manufacturing, research, or facility-intensive operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with construction-in-progress (CIP) and capital project accounting
• Experience with asset management systems or physical inventory processes
• Familiarity with barcode, QR, or RFID asset tracking methodologies
