Managers Control Self-Assessment (MCA) Group Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to a large team of professionals and junior managers to drive optimization and efficiency.
• Manage the execution of the Managers Control Self-Assessment (MCA) program, including regular attestations, quality oversight, and reporting.
• Identify, analyze, and assess potential risks to ensure timely remediation of significant control issues and operational events.
• Drive MCA execution in accordance with ORM Policy & Framework, applicable standards, and procedures.
• Develop and maintain ORM tools and methodologies to support accurate assessments of the risk and control environment.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement robust tracking and reporting for the MCA inventory.
• Champion MCA best practices and transformation to ensure execution consistency across various business functions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions within the financial services industry.
• Proven track record of leading control-related projects and programs.
• Expert understanding of compliance laws, rules, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities.
• Exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities with the capacity to influence executive audiences.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
