About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a future-state scheduling operating model and redesign processes to align with system capabilities and collective agreements.
  • Lead a team of analysts and master rotation specialists to design optimized master schedules and templates.
  • Assess current scheduling practices across hospital units to identify and prioritize opportunities for redesign.
  • Act as a liaison between People & Culture, clinical operations, IT, and finance to ensure effective communication and alignment.
  • Support clinical leaders and staff through the transition to new scheduling processes and tools.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials to ensure long-term sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Business, Engineering, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, workforce management, or scheduling transformation.
  • At least 2 years of experience implementing or configuring scheduling systems within a unionized healthcare environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to lead change and manage stakeholders in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in process redesign, business analysis, or project management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with scheduling platforms such as UKG or Kronos.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools including SharePoint, Power Apps, and Forms.
