Manager Transportation - Trucking

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Cemex’s Third Party Truck Management Strategy and center-led management
• Manage Carrier RFQs, selection, and vetting processes
• Oversee Carrier Strategic Route Guides and zero-cost based reporting
• Develop and monitor Carrier Scorecards focusing on service, cost, and safety
• Gather market intelligence to drive strategic decisions and best practices
• Monitor CO2 emissions for 3rd party carriers to support sustainability goals
• Lead the utilization of the Transportation Management System (TMS) and implement freight payment audit solutions

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Transportation or Supply Chain roles
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Management, Procurement, or Engineering
• Deep knowledge of the bulk truck transportation market and processes
• Proficiency in end-to-end supply chain concepts and processes
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage data and develop strategic concepts
• Technical proficiency in SAP and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Experience with analytical tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense

Preferred Qualifications

• APIC certification or SCOR knowledge
• Bilingual skills (English and Spanish)
